Here's Mommy only about five years ago. It's kind of disconcerting to see her beside the hospital bed. And, the expression on Grandma's face is so like the expression that Mommy almost always has now.
It is so hard to see mom changing and I hate it but I love mom so much! I took this when we visited the summer of the year Grandma O'Connor died. It was the last time I saw Grandma O.
I didn't know who had taken the picture. Somehow knowing that you were behind the camera makes it even more special.
I'm glad you both got to see Grandma then. I never saw her when she was in a hospital bed. The last time I saw her, she was still walking around (even up steps!) and playing the piano.
